Going forward, the macaroni was good, but the beans were salty. In other words, I appreciate your delivery, but it still wasn't up to my standards.

Faith, Race and Politics have never quite mixed. So when Senator Barack Obama gave his speech ‘challenging us on race’, it was not at all surprising to hear all the cherry pickers ‘pickin’ & ‘a choosin’ what they liked and what they didn’t like.

America, there’s a lot to be said about someone having the courage to speak the truth in this arrogant nation, in order to move forward. Let’s try to be gracious.

And to the news anchors, who piece-mealed Barack’s speech by mentioning the 8 American flag display behind him and the hidden premise for the presidential like platform chosen. I have to say this..."I got more out of reading the speech than watching it. However, now that I have seen it, it only exemplifies the adage ”dress for the job you want!” enuf said!

They also mentioned that although Barack delivered an inspiring speech, he still didn’t denounce Rev. Jeremiah Wright. My question is, did Senator John McCain denounce his supporter, Rev. John Hagee who made rousing
remarks that “Hurricane Katrina was an act of God, and said 'when you violate God's will long enough, the judgment of God comes to you. Katrina is an act of God for a society that is becoming Sodom and Gomorrah reborn. " or what about denouncing McCain's supporter, Pastor Rod Parsley for his remarks on urging a Christian war to destroy the “false religion” of Islam?

I urge you to look at the broader picture America. This isn’t grade school, “you ditch your friend, I’ll ditch mine and we can all be buddies". It’s about unity and NOT looking pass someone’s differences and beliefs, but getting to know them!

Think for a second...night after night, the news media…all stations using all methods of delivery, prove their priorities when it comes to coverage. Whatever’s popular, whatever’s incendiary, whatever commands attention….gets aired. Most beneficial or favorable coverages are usually just excerpts for entertainment; the real stories are almost always sensational and played over and over again. There are no gag rules in the media...no suppression...and the only moderation that I see is when they're mentioning the casualties of the war in Iraq.

Politically, Senator Barack Obama has not only raised the bar….he has set the bar. Americans, there’s a connection here. Can’t you see it... or are we so caught up in the conservative way of preserving measured change for the enhancement of a particular people?

Barack Obama transcends color…and with us not only as his supporters, but also contributors in this great land of America, we can all absolutely unite!

Jim Wallis, author of “The Great Awakenings” said Barack’s speech was a test of him, but after the speech…it is a test of us.”

Let’s turn the page people.

I have had it with the so-called news media!! If I wasn't fed up before, I definitely am now. And believe me, I was before. How can they possibly pick apart Barack Obama's speech? It was flawless!! There is not one person who can say something negative to what he said last night unless themselves are spiteful, hateful, or against unification. And let's be real, that IS what it is. Those of us with clear ears heard him say that he cannot dislike his Pastor anymore than his white grandmother who loved him and raised him yet had her own prejudices. He defended the man as a person, not the words that were spoken. But why do I get so angry? I expect this from the media. The media, which turns their back on the hateful supporters of John McCain, the media that in 2 days can force a man to resign because of a sex scandal and yet allows a man to stay in the White House for 8 years after lying us into war, treason, war-profiteering, illegal wire-tapping and on and on and on! It's nothing new its just SAD!!

OMG, I was SO proud of Barack after reading that speech !!! He is so NOT a politician HE IS A BRILLIANT MAN WITH REAL BELIEFS AND IDEAS!!! He had to denounce Pastor Wright's words because they were "hateful", but Barack gave anyone who dared to read/listen the source or origin of that "hate". He also gave us some real hope for all of our futures and he was SO smart to slip in the fact that he is "part" white. Now most of us know the age old rule that means that he really is black no matter what (somebody needs to remind Tiger about the 1/8 rule), HOWEVER, maybe his part-whiteness will help the white Americans who don't want to vote for a black man the excuse they need to go ahead :-). If America will just wake up and vote for the man and not a politician !!!! Barack's words were as deep and as true as those of our greatest Civil Rights leader, Martin Luther King, and not since Martin Luther King have we had a visionary that understands what it will take to allow ALL Americans to experience the true meaning of freedom. OMG if Barack can become the candidate then we will have our chance to really get him in office !!! Keep on talking ya'll - - - it can really happen. IT'S TIME . . . TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE !!!!
