just got back....

...spent 4 days in new york! it was a well needed split from this city. although it was chilly in NY, i had a fabulous time! angie, nikki and i met for lunch at the rock cafe, located on the north side of rockefeller center! the food & scenery was quite extraordinary, but the company was awesome! it's been a lonnng while since i got to experience new york like that...can't wait to go back! : )

after lunch, both angie & nik had to get back to work, so they sent me on my way to tackle the BIG APPLE all alone....so manhattan, here i come!!! i must admit...it was a bit nostalgic for me, since i haven't lived there in years...but u become more familiar with the city rather quickly. i went up 5th ave... from store to store....wind blowin'...people watchin'....feet achin'...but just happy to be there!! i stopped in the MoMA (museum of modern art), tried to make it to the MET... but was too busy shopping to step it up a notch, and the final stop was dean & deluca for some fantastic quiche!!

on saturday, ang, ren, rik and i spent the day visiting nikki & rob's place in brooklyn and hangin out in soho for some vendor deals. later that evening, eric made a feast fit for all of us! he grilled terriyaki chicken, asparagus and sweet potatoes with a side of rice tossed with cranberries (for ang...smiles) and some elixirs. yum yum! (pictures to come!) i have to say, my girl ang was the perfect host on my long weekend getaway! thanks bunches!!!! ...also big kudos to nikki for her discount cards & tour notes...a definite must!
