i could give up soda in 2009, but i’m no quitter! (lol)

...yep, i still like my soda, but thank god the new year is giving me a reason to chart new waters! so this year, rather than focus on what i'm giving up....i'm gonna focus on what i'm "giving into"!

...i'm immediately giving into going green…yes, i said it! ..from now on, i'm not only goin' "green" on my picnics, but “bougie” too! ...i'm using real plates & glasses and absolutely no plastic! i will also give my biobags & ecobags another shot while shopping (see pix at top), i will no longer idle my car while just sitting in it, i will be washing my cloz in cold water, and i will print on both sides of the paper (like we're suppose to do at work...wink!). i'll support green companies (maybe even work for one, click here to check 'em out), and i will also support a program that's not contributing like i am to the growing decay of our beautiful earth! (if yr interested in starting with me, just click here for cool blogs & idiot proof info on going green! i'm giving into...getting in touch with my true values. giving priority to what weighs more in my life...(mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually), and not just the obligations of work, routineness and what society deems valuable! i'm finally giving into my "pseudo life coach", who has tried to hold me accountable for all my dirty deeds...like shopping, spending, and sometimes not growing! yeah, i said it! i will give into him, bcuz oftentimes...our friends know best! i'm giving into...meeting new people and securing old friendships! i'm giving into... this colossal nightmare of a room i call my study & my continued need for perfection. design plans are already in the works to make it nice n' cozy! i’m giving into my yogini...i mean.."so what its a country mile drive to get there"...the sense of peace is worth it!! i'm giving into...an investment plan that works! ...oh, let me repeat that....i'm giving into an investment plan that works! i'm giving into...being slow to anger and a whole lotta patience! holler-lujuah on that one! but more importantly....i'm giving into prayer! bcuz, when i pray things happen...and all too often i have forgotten from whom my blessings flow!

So to all of my friends & family, please remember that time really has no divisions when marking your path to the new year. We mortals are the only one's who announce this day with great pomp and circumstance. So on this day...don't just make notes for the next twelve months, but for a lifetime!
