ok, its finally come and gone! our highly anticipated company xmas bash was held at the House of Blues this year...and it was FABULOUS! i didn't get that gold lumet frock a few blogs down....but instead wore a beautiful black sheath cocktail dress that i pratically painted on...lol! our celebration happened to be on the same night of other events at HOB, which made the crowd even more interesting! ...let me start out by saying the food was INCREDIBLE!! we had creole inspired jumbo shrimp, oysters, crab legs, pan seared (click...voodoo shrimp) with cornbread, roasted turkey, yummy brisket, white chocolate bread pudding and all the drinks u can possibly sip! ...and sip is what folks did all night. a little of this...a little of that...and so on and so on...

i invited a friend who seemed to mingle quite well amongst the crowd, and we partied so much we closed down the joint! ...so much that the valets who parked my car had all gone home for the evening! oops...now that was a first! so there i was, banging on the door trying to ensure my ride! after enuf commotion with me and the rest of my entourage, someone finally found my car. ...and oh, the night still was not quite over. i then had to call a cab at 2 am for a girlfriend who i thought best not to drive home. ...once that was done, i noticed another co-worker was in the same boat...so i gave him a ride to his place nearby. ...and by the time i got home...it was nearly 3 am, and i still had to be at work the next day!!

all in all, i give this years party a huge "10 plus", with special kudos to our marketing mgr JLo! although HOB has been around in several cities for years, its only been open for 2 months in houston. i've been to the one in N.O, but this is nothing like it!. this one is 43,000 square feet of extravagantly designed entertainment! its multi-leveled with terraces, beautiful rooms, private rooms, paintings and live entertainment that can't be beat!! the HOB staff waited on us like we were royalty and i cant say enough about the food! i can't wait to go back!! ...if u get a chance, definitely check out this spot!!
