lesson learned...if u want a henna, don't ask for a fish! last weekend, 'peace' and i went to a henna, hearts & hors d'ouerves party. great food, great music and flawless hennas were being painted for just 10 bucks! ------ while sipping elixirs, we picked out our designs. 'peace' being familiar with the whole henna process, got a beautiful lotus flower on the nape of her neck. and then it was my turn - for some strange reason i was obsessed with dolphins that night & i was determined to get one painted on the inside of my arm....and yes...with BUBBLES Y'ALL! ------- screeechhh...what the hell was i thinkin'? ------ it didnt take me long before i noticed that everyone was coming up to 'peace' to see her henna....and not one person asked to see mine! HA! the photo says it all! my friend eric said my henna looked like flippa' on crack - and he was right! a henna is used to adorn a woman's body for celebrations, victories, weddings and announcements, but somehow i dont think they got my grafitti memo! i mean a dolphin is a symbol of harmony, right? in all honesty, i think i have some frustrated-wanna-tattoo issues, but after this hideously lopsided flipper ordeal...i think i'll pass altogether, especially since this baby won't wash off for 2 weeks..UGGH!
