Affordable Healthcare Reform Bill Passes!

history & progress again...

as i drove myself at 5am sunday morning to the drugstore to get some generic meds for my excruiating migraine, i received an email from president obama saying, "...the first step in the healthcare reform bill has passed"! ...while i was thrilled to read about the accomplishment, i purchased my "aleve" and thought, the next time i pop up in here, maybe i'll be able to get some real meds!!! (lol) so i took my happy tail home to take my happy pill and read more about the healthcare reform bill passing! it was a tight vote with 220 in favor and 215 not in favor. the next step is having the senate turn that bill into a law!!! ...how 'bout that? let me reiterate, "The Affordable Health Care for America Act, or H.R. 3962, restricts insurance companies from denying coverage to anyone with a pre-existing condition or charging higher premiums based on gender or medical history. It also provides federal subsidies to those who cannot afford it and guarantees coverage for 96 percent of Americans." so, barring not having a gig by the beginning of the year, maybe...just maybe, i can kick the "aleve" (which by the way, still ain't workin'), and get some prescriptive meds that would have taken full effect by now! but let's not lose hope! ...i believe the bill will pass the senate and although filled with a large list of mandates, i hope soon enuf we can finally have healthcare access for all americans!!!!!! if you're interested in reading more on president obama's healthcare insurance reform, listing the public options, please CLICK HERE.
