mindful living...
just got finished doing a serious 60 minute workout. i actually started my regimen oct 31st, as i'm determined to live mindfully! after doing my usual routine fact check of my life in the last 40 days, i realized how less than focused i've actually become! yes, i'm still working diligently towards a new gig and improving my skillset, but my personal life is less than i desire. ...taking full responsibility, i got attached to facebook, texting, empty calories and someone who finally caught my eye. none of those things are necessarily bad, it's just that i now realize that it took only 40 days for me to create empty habits that i flourished better without. with that said, my quest for something richer & deeper started 2 days ago. getting my body, mind & spirit right is more of my focus right now. however, i will say, that out of the 40 days of what i now call a 'temporary respite', that very special someone inadvertently taught me about the 'power of will'. and while my personality thrives on proving myself rather than just checking off tasks, i figured i'd list my goals only one at a time on my blog. ...that way, i'm accountable to my readers as well as myself.
so today, i will also be working on my spirit, and with that i'm giving up my attachment to any specific result. according to deepak chopra's book "the 7 laws of spiritual laws of success", attachment is based on fear and insecurity. the moment you relinquish your attachment to the result, combining one-point intention with detachment at the same time, you will have that which you desire. so there u have it, today and tomorrow i will no longer feel compelled to force solutions. i'll still set goals...but as far as personally...i will witness uncertainty without doom, therefore letting something greater happen!!
